I had a grade-school teacher who worked in a Campbell's Soup factory while he was in college. I learned early in life that chicken is not the only meat in chicken & noodle soup.

yeah my chemistry teacher last year said if we knew how peanut butter was manufactured none of us would ever eat it again. "This jar has 4 rat droppings, it passes QC. This one has 5, FAIL."

A guy in the class who used to work at some grain manufacturing plant said the exact same thing.
if you only knew. I was a food inspector in the military and had to be familiar with all of the acceptable standards (or at least where to look it up if need be) for defects in all kinds of food, not just dry stuff.

Eh. I'd just eat a strawberry. Jelly is like... fruit flavored sugar.
Sliced strawberries in peanut butter on bread... hrm. Works with bananas. Might be worth a shot.

Probably just wouldn't be the same.

We just had a meeting with a company that specializes in sealing and corrosion. You wouldn't want to hear what he said happened at a food processing plant.

This... I've heard so many horror stories surrounding how food is made/processed it would shock you.

Come on already with the full meals in pill form, we waste too much time on eating food.

By future FDA standards, food pills are considered safe as long as they have fewer than 4 maggots inside each.

Is this why Kashi is recalling a ton of their peanut products? Grocery has Kashi on sale every week for the last 2 months, and suddenly yesterday we find out that they have salmonella typhimurium strain.

Stay away from black pepper then too in that case.

Anyway, rhubarb jam is greater than all the strawberry jelly on earth combined.

That was probably from the Salmonella problem Peanut Butter Corp. of America had not too long ago. link

Jesus fuck people, I already quit meat because the manufacturing process grossed me out. At this rate I'll be off anything. What's not gross to eat? I'm going to end up living off fried tofu and peanut sauce. I don't need to hear this!

I thought you were manlier, I'm disappointed. All the meat you eat before you knew about the process didn't hurt you. It still tastes good dammit

I don't think strawberries would work.

Try sliced apples with raisins and pb. It is the sandwich of the gods.

Rhubarb is pretty good. Blackberry is king of the jams. I like 'em all though.

Apple butter, too <3 <3

edit: holy shit I'm never eating chicken nuggets again. Not that I've had any since I was 12 or so anyways.
