People with outdoor TVs - are you able to keep them functioning?

I game one my indoor setup a lot, but I like going outside by my fire pit. I have a small patio I want to have a TV and game outside. It is easy for me to mount a TV over a small covered patio. Black Friday is here and I want to get a decent TV for outside. Are there good TV covers to protect them from rain? I would love some cover recommendations if so

You can buy an outdoor model.

Otherwise I just put an older model 55 outside under my patio and it was fine for years and years. No cover but well shielded from sun and rain. Great for a BBQ and some footy.

Get a projector instead. Easier to take inside when the weather is bad.

Awful idea, honestly. With a projector you also have to worry about a screen, and modern TVs weigh like what, 5kg tops? Projector isn't easier to take inside at all. I'm not even getting started on the brightness.

Whatever you do, don't get a projector for this use case.

As long as it is protected from sun/rain you should be fine. We had several flatscreens on the patio area of the bar I used to work at, those things were outside 365 days a year and didn’t have any issues. Kinda surprising too, I figured the humidity down here would be a killer for stuff like that.
