Neighborhood situation. A guy who pretended to be my friend.
Let him into my flat several times.
Flat looks like shit. (I'm basically a bum.)
He: "Hey, Mister Powerhouse, I will help you to clean it up!"
Me (thinking): "True friendship exists after all."
Comes into my flat, starts "cleaning up". I feel a little bit ashamed. Even carries down some of the trash.
Later I need to go shopping. Look into my wallet.
200 Bitcoins missing... Probably took them while I was browsing NeoGAF. (No shame!1)
Call the PoPo: "Nothing we can do. Should have marked the bills with your sign."
Wow... Just wow. Great start to the summer.
I needed to call my mum to get me through the month...

I went to Aftershock and saw them perform this front to back for its anniversary and I thought I was gonna die in the pit. Fucking amazing show and no footage I've seen online captures the chaos, especially when they performed scissors!

Never saw Knot, but I've been in Slayer, Gwar, Lamb of God, Municipal Waste, Amon Amarth, etc. pits, and I can attest; they get fucking intense.

Something great happened to me in a pit at Unholy Alliance in 05, and I'd like to mention it here but I feel like it might make for a decent thread if I ever motivate my lazy ass to make it, so I'll hold back for now lol.

Random question aside, how long's it been since you were in a pit? I'll be 40 soon, and the last time I was in a pit was when I was fucking 22 -_-. I wanna take my daughter to her first metal show here, and I will, but I don't know if I should get in the pit or not.... might get demolished lol. I'm better shape now than I was then....but despite that I was still tougher then. Being young is amazing :/.

Iwas hoping that it captured when I had the guy crowd surfing on my shoulders like a barbell (fuck I love powerlifting!!) but alas. At least I was in the moment unlike this guy filming! I've been a dad for a long time and I'm a boring old foagie now, those fun memories from so long ago are like.....it's like I remember them from when I was a different person, but not a bad person, I actually miss that guy, but I can't really be him anymore.

Powerlifting is easy way for me because I hate gym routines. 3-4 lifts, 5 times each I'm in and out in 60 - 90 minutes and my bike commute is my cardio (thinking of training though, I wanna do a turkey trot this year, a 10k and hopefully a marathon before I'm 40)

Oh I'm not a Dad but I have my moments myself of "am I too old for this shit!?" Like, once I laughed at about losing my shoe at Metallica but I was 33 at the time LOL. I have a lot of moments where I want to shed younger me and lean into my age, but I feel like once I do I won't know how to be young and careless at times anymore.
