Holy shit. A lot of insanely bad takes in this thread.

Molyneux was a lot of things, but many of the games he worked on were legit brilliant. Bullfrog and Lionhead were incredible studios that very often delivered incredible, iconic games. I still play populous from time to time. I deeply miss the black and white series. I still lament never getting B.C.

These studios really pushed gaming with creative ideas and novel gameplay.

Peter was a lot of things, but he had vision for new ideas and quite often saw that through to execution.

Today's gaming landscape could only dream of being so lucky to have someone truly innovative making games instead of just whatever rehash or gacha scheme comes out next.
