Does anybody else agree that Peter Parker got too cool, too fast?

After years of being the biggest nerd at Midtown High, the guy goes to ESU and manages get two hot chicks eating out of the palms of his hands. Namely, Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane Watson.

Aside from this, his best friend is the richest kid in town, and his hottie ex-girlfriend Betty Brant probably still has a thing for him.

I mean, Peter Parker is a nice guy and deserved all of this attention, but I think Stan Lee should've rode the geeky thing out a bit more.

Naw, Peter Parker, nerd or no, had women fighting over him even in hisg school. I never understood WHY, but he did. Acually, but the end of HS, he was pretty self-confident (and pretty right-winf righteous, as well!).

Also, he was in college like what, 15 years? If anything was too bad about his college career, it would be that they abandoned the real-time thing they had going before that.

This wasn't in teh mo vie, was it? he seemed like quite the nerd. Were girls fighting over him before he wa sbitten but the super-spider? Please educate me on the history of peter parker and spiderman's past. without it i'm an unculturedf hick.

In the comics, he was in high school for a few years after being bitten by the spider. By the end of that period, he had Betty and (Liz?) at least would be jealous of each other over him.

Pre-Spider-Bite, he appears to have been 100% nerd.

Check out the Essential Spider-Man books, they're dirt cheap and have tons of stories. Those early Spider-Man comics hold up better than most other comics from the period.
