I'd say you have a good point if you were putting up money to play. But when the entry fee is probably going to be a Live account, there's not a whole lot to lose.
uh, youre going to lose a million dollars dude. it may not be your money but essentially you are handing someone else alot of money because your isp couldnt get it together. This is not fair, this is not what tournament gaming is about.
True, it can update internally at that rate, but what's the point? It might as well just update the physics engine at >60fps and then update the rendered at 60fps. Is that what you're advocating? If so then yea I agree it's a good idea, and many racing games actually do that(Forza does, GT4 probably does). If it updates everything, rendered included, at more than 60fps, then it's somewhat pointless as you'd be losing the ability to put in more detail due to all these extra frames.
I like the placebo effect from playing games that run at >60fps. They don't even have to technically run that fast, just smoothly enough so that I think they're >60fps.

The PGR/MSR already gave us a taste of 60 fps, we know it works very well. There's no reason for PGR3 to go back to 30 fps except for laziness on the developer's part.
That is very correct. I'm not good in pool, but I like watching Jeanette Lee and Allison Fisher among others make crazy shots. That is basically the appeal of sporting events. To watch something played or performed at a world class level. I intend on taking a lot of time out to watch others play
