Looks leagues better than Nioh 3. Chinese devs beasting on Japanese it's not even funny.
Might be prettier graphics but Team Ninja historically hits hard in the gameplay department. Both games look like action fun though for sure.

Nahhh.
That game did what, 10 million in 2 days? 20 million in a month. I think that's easily the biggest game of the gen so far, it beat elden ring.
Yeah, PB is developed by a Chinese studio. It will actually be a great game unlike BMW. It will probably review in the 90s. Chinese gamers will buy it in droves

Day fucking zero. So damn hyped for this game.

This looks so damn good, holy shit. Probably the most stylish game, action animation wise, in recent years.

China saving gaming, even if you like it or not.

Same here, but the only thing that's bothering me is that the VO is in english, they should stick to chinese with subtitles for the trailers.

Would you flip your position if the same teams swapped between the ones using the Katana Engine with the ones building with UE5 ?

I kinda think you would, but the truth is that its all about the gameplay not the graphics.

The funny thing is, although the rendering quality obviously is less then state-of-the-art, having played quite a few games built with the Katana engine they aren't bad looking. They get the job done, and often have some really pretty visuals.

To be honest, I don't want all games to look like UE5. And let's be honest, there is a very distinctive look that UE5 titles have compared to those using other engines.

This continue to look more interesting than the last couple of fromsoft games combined, fight me.

Combat, animations looks amazing. I think this could run better than other UE5 games as well. The settings and environment does not seems to have much direct light, it is mostly overcast but atmosphere is not bad either.

Didn't like their last 2 games, Rise of Ronin and Wo Long. Time for something fresh.
Indeed, but it's unfortunate their next game that they put serious attention into wasn't Ninja Gaiden, but Platinum did a serviceable job. So Nioh 3 looks like it's instead getting that treatment until they move onto their next project.
