Answer the question, Claire!... wait wrong film and genre.
But yeah, fave scary movie?

More than just my favourite scary movie, it's the GOAT.
Alien is a horror film, but isn't Aliens more in line with action?
Probably between the original Nightmare on Elm Street and The Shining.

And they are both better than HalloweenIt's the cover of the game for NES and I like both franchises. Elm Street is still better though.
Beat me to itKazam the one where shaq plays a genie.
It's the James-Cameron-directing-the-sequel effect !Alien is a horror film, but isn't Aliens more in line with action?
The Exorcist (original). Easily the most genuinely evil film I've seen and still haunts me to this day.
The Shining is a close #2 but it's obviously the better film. There are so many creepy hidden gems, double meanings, metaphors, and conspiracy theory details in each and every scene. Kubrick was a genius.
In terms of general, casual enjoyment I like SLASHERS! Halloween (original), Friday the 13th Jason Lives, A Nightmare on Elm Street (original), Child's Play 1 and 2. I know none of those movies are actually "scary" but I could watch them any time, any day.
The original, I hope!Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Without a doubt
