Fable Game of the Year? Well, it was a fscking good game and I had a great time playing it (3 times), but GOTY... It think there were some better games this year.

Double w00t! Seriously this game has the best DPLII implementation I've experienced, not just with sound effects, but also the music seperation between channels was really well done and tasteful.

0-4 stars (which is the actual system used by Play, not the numbers 0-4; people posting scores from the mag are just too lazy to type '*** 1/2' instead of '3.5', apparently) is far less fucked up than a so-called 1-10 system where 9.0+ is considered 'good to excellent' by the pundits here at GAF, while the rest of the scale is interpreted as 'mediocre to poor'.
