Playing DS made me sick!!

Ohhh man... on Saturday, I was hanging out with my girlfriend and one of my best friends... Since Dan hasn't seen the DS yet and didn't really know much about it, I brought it along while we drive over to pick up my g/f, for him to play... so of course I show him Feel The Magic... and he's playing it, going through the story... gets to "Candle", (those who played this know what it's about - you need to blow on the touch screen to put out candles)... plays some more and then gets stuck, so I take over, show him more of that game, and show him Mario 64... Then, later that night, he tells me that he's not feeling so good and that he probably got germs all over my DS :P... sure enough... I wake up sick this morning :P

If you convinced yourself that you're gonna get sick, you might have caused it yourself. The mind is a powerful tool.

from the little experience I have on it, the DS doesn't make me sick...but it strains my eyes...the GBA:SP did this as well, though the DS seems to do so much more

that's not to say that it's painful or anything...just after ~10 minutes my eyes feel as though someone had just sliced open an onion on the other side of the room (as opposed to ~45min for similar eye strain on the GBA:SP)

I tried playing a GBA game on the DS today... the clarity of the screen is definitely better than the GBA-SP even though the game just sits in the middle of the screen with a slight black edge around the whole screen. Too bad you can't play oldskool GB games on it, well I guess that's what my SP is good for. (I can't believe, it was only like 6 months ago I was picking up my SP)

The backlight really makes a difference doesn't it. I use my GBP for my older GB games, but playing Minish Cap on the DS just feels so right.

Yeah, this did seem to be about motion sickness by the title. I've gotten that before while playing the original GB.. not so much anymore though.. the only game I can recall coming out in the past 5-8 years that made me feel sick was the first TimeSplitters. Only in single player though. Made me wanna puke, dunno why.
