PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for August: Lies of P, Day Z, My Hero One’s Justice 2

Lies of P is great, I gave up on it after one boss difficulty spike too many but it was fun till then.

I am puzzled by the people that bought it being upset. You own a good game instead of renting it out on a subscription service. I bought the deluxe edition at launch and the DLC almost as soon as they became available and I have no regrets. I hope those that skipped it give it the old college try as it has great production values and polished mechanics. I would recommend the free Wu Long DLC halberd as a starting weapon for those struggling with the early game after choosing a starting build.

Lies of Peak is legit the best game ever, just don't forget to fill out your p-organ.

I have almost 200h and been thru the game 3 times, the xpak twice and started a fresh character to see if I had gotten elite or my OG char was just good. Peak. A must play for action fans.

DayZ is kinda cool but unless they've added a robust tutorial you will need to check wikis a lot, or have someone show you the ropes.
Yeh not wrong.i got over 300 hours on chernarus alone..have yet to step foot on any other maps.

There is ALOT to learn and when you think you know it all you have even more to learn. Nowadays i play mostly on Community servers.

I trust your word.

It's not without issues like simplistic level design, a weird skill tree, and overusing the boss has a second health bar, but I do really appreciate that every weapon has interchangeable hilt/blade that expands the weapon possibilities and every souls game needs to copy the rally mechanic that refills ones healing resource once they've all be exhausted. It can feel overly focused on the games parry mechanic, but that's just the world we live in for most action games these days. I'd put Lies of P and the NIOH series as the best of the non-FromSoftware souls-likes.

You literally do not need to learn parry to beat this game. Between the blocking, shield arm, and the auto-parry grindstone the game always gives you an alternative.
