HFW deserves it for technical achievement. I started it on PS4 and even there it looked great. I have it on PS5 and it is gorgeous. Not sure it deserves anything for animations or game design.

Now the dust has settled, I think I preferred Forbidden West on the whole. Both were not without issues, and the bar of both is so fucking high but I think I'd lean more towards Aloy personally.

Playing now HFW on PS5 and this game really deserved more awards. Im loving it. It just launched in a bad year cuz Ragnarok does almost everething better. And then thers still Elden Ring.

I bet that sounded funny in your head until you actually did some research and found out that no British dev has ever won 5 BAFTA awards (4 excluding 'best British game' if that makes you feel better) in that many categories since GTA Vice City in 2003.
