So much modern programming is a snooze fest. Incredibly safe, overly concerned with its design and potential offenses, etc.

Pokemon, at least the original series, touched on quite a lot of diverse ideas and stories, even non pretty parts of life.

I saw this earlier and instantly fell in love with the art direction. The humans look weird, but this might be the biggest embrace of texture I've ever seen in an animation.
