That's what I think whenever I watch TylerTube or any other youtuber testing Amazon/AliExpress/Temu kitchen stuff. At least others like Barry Lewis cook everything and eat them, don't just throw stuff away.
They did a Pokemon - Maccy Ds Happy Meal in the UK for a couple of months this year and there were no big issues. Maybe it is to do with the number of cards/rarity.
Pokemon cards are selling out everywhere, but that's apparently because crypto bros see it as a more worthwhile currency than crypto so they are buying them all up where they can (according to the bloke in the gaming store my boy goes to). It's GPUs all over again.
i refuse to engage with the fomo/limited bullshit - I play mtg arena casually where it's cheap and easy to get what you need, fuck what these companies are doing feeding the vulture resellers. I'll never fucking understand why they pander to the vultures instead to the players.
Honestly thought as time went on in the age of the internet with more access to information, these limited time marketing ploys would be less effective over time...but people are dumber than ever with them.
I'm sure they could have found a school or some place to give the food to. But keep in mind, Japan has the lowest homeless rate in the world. Only 3,000 people for the entire country.
Promises to take stringent steps to limit the amount of purchases for certain happy meal promotions to curb resellers, refusing service to anyone engaging in scalper behavior. It seems they're also in talks with reseller marketplaces, no names mentioned but they mean places like Mercari.
The promotion was slated to run for three days, but ended less than 24 hours after its launch. Read more at straitstimes.com. Read more at straitstimes.com.
