PoliceActivity on youtube is one of my favorite channels.

Here's a great example of a video you probably won't see on mainstream news. Which is odd, because it's emotional and exhilarating, so it's good for ratings, right?
Oh, that's right, it casts the Police in a good light.

A police officer saved my youngest sister's life when she was an infant. She had got wrapped up in blankets during a nap at daycare and stopped breathing. Officer happened to be closeby and gave her basic cpr and got her breathing again well before medics arrived.

Of course there are good officers, just like there are good people in all walks of life.

We've become obsessed with painting with such broad brush strokes in modern culture, and it seems to skew predominantly negative. (don't watch the news and get off social media and heal the world! )
