Princess Peach: Showtime! delivers surprising variety in gameplay and shows Peach in several roles like cowgirl, ninja or mermaid. Even though the game lacks in difficulty and replayability the target audience of younger and predominantly female gamers will find an entertaining Jump'n'Run with Nintendo's most prominent Princess. Everyone else gets a easy to digest game for short timeframes like a bus ride.
Checkpoint Gaming - Luke Mitchell - 8 / 10
Princess Peach: Showtime! finally gives our first Nintendo Diva the spotlight she has long deserved, and almost shockingly, once again brings us a Nintendo experience that feels both comfortably familiar and thrillingly different. Despite some weird frame-rate issues and a few costume changes that are less memorable than others, the amount of charm and satisfying simplicity oozing out of Princess Peach: Showtime! makes it a stage performance worthy of applause and adoration. Let's hope this first true starring role for Peach isn't her last.

It's too soon to tell if Princess Peach: Showtime! will do for the character what Luigi's Mansion did for Mario's brother, but I find myself hoping we'll see Nintendo and Good Feel revisit this concept in the future. Hopefully by then they'll have ditched some of the weaker transformations, and give the graphics an overhaul worthy of royalty.

Princess Peach: Showtime! further proves that it doesn't require Mario to show up to save the day because Princess Peach can hold her own.
Digitec Magazine - Michelle Brändle - German - Unscored
In this platformer, the focus is not on the difficulty of the individual levels, but on the many surprises that await me with Peach's creative outfits and transformations. The Sparkle Theater, Princess Peach and the game environments are detailed and lovingly designed. Even though the levels can be played through quickly, collecting coins and hidden stars gives me the motivation to play through them several times. It's a rather easy game, but a real feel-good experience.

Princess Peach: Showtime is quite cute, it has special colors, activities and themes that attract not only the young audience, but also those whose years have left their marks only on their outward appearance.
IGN Italy - Andrea Peduzzi - Italian - 7.5 / 10
Peach makes a comeback with a fun and artistically inspired video game perfect for kids, a little less so for hardcore gamers.
IGN Spain - Raquel Morales - Spanish - 8 / 10
Princess Peach: Showtime! is a simple game, but it once again demonstrates the potential of a character in Mario's shadow. Nintendo has taken the opportunity to create a visually attractive game that combines many elements of video games: combat, stealth, puzzles, platforms or shoot 'em up.
Nintendo Life - PJ O'Reilly - 8 / 10
Princess Peach: Showtime! sees Nintendo finally give everyone's favourite imaginary princess the rollicking adventure she deserves. We had expected a rather throwaway offering here, a bunch of minigames and Mario-lite platforming maybe, but what we've got is one of the better kid-focused games on Switch. There's creativity, style, and fun to spare here, with levels packed full of secrets, cool outfits, and enough new mechanics to ensure nothing ever outstays its welcome. Come for the fashion, stay for the boss battles, slo-mo bullet dodges, and cardboard horse chases. Besides a few niggling performance issues, this is Nintendo on rather cracking form. Encore!
Press Start - Kieron Verbrugge - 7.5 / 10
Despite its technical woes and pervasive simplicity, there's just enough of a spark in Princess Peach Showtime! that it had won me over by the time the curtains closed. It might not be deserving of a standing ovation but it's certainly got the stage presence to attract an audience. It's good, light, family fun that's consistently charming and perfectly cast.
Spaziogames - Italian - 8 / 10
Princess Peach: Showtime! is an exemplar of Nintendo's game design philosophy, delivering an innovative and cohesive gaming experience that challenges expectations and recalls the essence of video games.
TheSixthAxis - Reuben Mount - 7 / 10
Princess Peach: Showtime! is a good game, but It will not be for everyone and those with decent gaming experience won't find a challenge here... but that isn't the point. This foray with Peach into acting scratches that itch of a game that is just a fun little time within minimal stress or worry – something we all need right now. Peach's adventure isn't anything groundbreaking, but the commitment to its theming and spades of the classic Nintendo charm make it worth sticking with until the curtain call.
VGC - Andy Robinson - 4 / 5
Full of personality and variety, Princess Peach Showtime delivers a performance that’s better than the sum of its parts, with some shallow mechanics lost in the glitz of its cabaret show. The challenge is definitely geared towards youngsters, but even experienced players will find it difficult not to be charmed.
WellPlayed - Ash Wayling - 8.5 / 10
With its emphasis on action, exploration, and a heaped helping of theatricality, Princess Peach: Showtime! showcases that our dear Princess is more than comfortable in the spotlight. If the odd performance issues subside, it may just be ready for a standing ovation.

I personally think it's messed up for a reviewer to give a game a lower score because the game isn't aimed at them (adults).

This is the current blogviewer culture that's hurting gaming.

Nothing against this game, but at the same time, it's refreshing to see a Nintendo game not being biasedly gushed over simply because it's Nintendo. Still very good scores.

This happens all the time no? There's a fair few Nintendo games with a Metacritic in the 70s.
Does it? Maybe Game Freak Pokemonz games, but generally their 1st party; anything Mario or Zelda, wades in the 90's usually. Nothing against them, as they're good games I'm sure, but rarely masterpieces as sites would call them.

Edit: For the record, I'm not defending these journos by any means... Not sure how they qualify to write up anything about games half the time.

Game is for little girls, and I bet they will love it. I however am not interested.
