It's been a long time since I've played and I was wanting to pass the time before Subsistence came out and I remembered that I hadn't finished time trials for SotC.

I pop the disc in and see I have a few saves, one of them has an H (for hard mode) and the other a 2. If I remember correctly, the time trials were on the save with the 2. Is that correct? Either way, I tried them BOTH, and kneeled down to pray at the alters but it would NOT activate time trial mode.

I may have forgot something, or my save game is busted... please help me out! I want to get the cool items!

Did you kneel at the 'save game' altars? If you did, you're at the wrong place. Kneel down in front of the statues inside the temple. There's 16 of them, each representing a boss. I think you can only do this on a save game that's already been completed

Yes, I did kneel down inside the temple in front of the statues. When I started my save game, I was at the save point in front of the temple. I even tried saving again but couldn't... perhaps saving in front of the temple messed it up?

Sound like a bug because any game you've started over a "finished" saved game DOES open a time trial. Even if you're in a hard mode game it opens a hard time trial.

I think I have a save game right before the last colossi, wish me luck! :lol

I found it was quite picky about positioning. Make sure you do it close to the statues.

Thanks. I thought that myself and tried several different positions. I can't even seem to save at an outside alter. Even on this other save game!
I'm right outside the doors to the last boss area... I hope it asks me to save... maybe that will fix my problem.
