My explorer.exe is farking with me. As soon as I start it it starts eating memory. 100+ megs of usage gets reached in moments, and it keeps hogging the system and slowing it down really really much.

What I have done:

Uninstalled the latest programs to have been installed

Run winupdate

Virus scan

Ad-ware scan

.. Oh and one more thing. Downloaded a movie the other day that I cannot delete now.. And quess what, it is Explorer.exe who is hogging it (checked with "Who lock me?"), and of course explorer.exe cannot be killed to remove it....

Please please help out if you know anything about these things.

I fixed it. Downloaded avifix.inf and it seems to have done the trick. The undeletable .avi-file has now been removed, and explorer doesn't hog as much resources as before.. it seems.
