I think it was the most realistic looking thing at the show, but it certainly wasn't the most technically demanding.

I'm not concerned with how technically demanding it was, just how great it looks. And so far it has almost everything beat.

I think there was only one game ever to have a FMV trailer for Xbox from Microsoft. Fable, and it was only like 15 seconds and looked like ass.

PGR 1 didn't have a formal trailer. PGR2 had the announcer trailer. It was in-game.

Now considering Microsoft and Bizarre's records (including Microsofts desire on showing game footage over pre-rendered footage), could you safely assume that it's CG?

If it were pre-rendered FMV, the backgrounds would look a bit nicer, and the cars would have more detailed geometry. That's gotta be real-time.

Last night during the stream I saw the first bit, then it started buffering and came back with "life begins at 170".. I was pissed. I think half the reaon people came away unimpressed with the 360 conference is it worked great during the boring shit and stopped working completely when the cool stuff started.

Looks very impressive, but like Killzone and MotorStorm....just wait before you get too excited. So far the most impressive is Need for Speed as far as in-game racers go, and that WAS in-game.

None of the other games on the platform look anywhere near this impressive, and there's no graphical glitching or framerate drops.....so obviously this is pre-rendered. [/Killzone whiner]

As I pointed out in another thread. Look at the wall on the left about 35 seconds in. It's one big polygon. Looking around the environment, most of the scenery is actually fairly simple. It's just a bunch of quick cuts so you don't notice it. I see no reason this couldn't be in-game.
