PlayStation Plus Free Games For October 2025 Revealed

Here are the next games headed to PlayStation Plus.

As part of the PlayStation State of Play today, Sony announced the next games heading to the PlayStation Plus library of free games.

Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3, and Cocoon are all coming to the Essentials tier of PlayStation Plus on October 8. Additionally, Sony announced that The Last of Us Part II Remastered will join the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog on September 26.

Happy now that I waited on Alan Wake 2. Probably going to play the remaster of 1 and then 2 back-to-back in the future.

I am kinda relieved when it is not too many games I want to check out. One in Essential, one or two in Extra and maybe another one in Premium, then it is enough/fine and already hard to get to everything within a month. Which is only in theory, since almost every month I only play the leaving this month games and nothing else. So Essential games just get added to my backlog forever.

AW2 is great. Not sure I've heard of Cocoon, but it's good then?

Edit: Ah it's that puzzly game where you warp into deeper and deeper worlds or something. Will try out for sure.

Me too, and I was really tempted after playing Part 1 also on PS+ Extra
