Well, I've had two brand new DVDs skip in my new model PS2. Games are fine, but movies are a problem. Anyone else having issues?

I had issues with mine. Some disks won't load, some start to skip. I just stopped using it as a DVD player.

Many slim units have severe problems when playing DVD9 movies.

Actually, for me, the slim one is working a lot better for DVDs than the old fat one did. The old one was absolutely terrible. I've only had 2 DVDs skip in the new one, and they also skipped in other DVD players as well, so.. ~shrugs~

I can't play Bioman episode 2 on my pstwo
Plays fine in my older PS2 though and DVD player.

There are alot of issues with the new slim ps2 console when it comes to playing dvd movies with it. I 've seen complaints at various forums already...

haven't had any problems with it yet. I have watched three or four different DVDs on it without issue.

It runs extremly hot is all I can tell you. Other then that it seems fine, much better then my old one was doing.

No problems with mine so far, but I've only watched one movie on it.
