DaVinci42 said:A 6x Blu-ray drive would be 6x36.0Mbps = 216Mbps
The Data transfer rate (1x) = 36.0Mbps
The Data transfer rate (movie application)= 54.0Mbps (1.5x)
Blu-ray actually wasn't clear about this until recently.
The DVD data transfer rate (1x) = 11.08Mbps
So a 6x Bluray drive is equal to a 19.49x DVD drive.
Again, we will prob have to wait until CES for a confirmation for final hardware.
