Replace the standard DualSense joysticks with these premium Hall Effect ones for just $16.
There’s a lot to love about the PS5 DualSense controller, but there’s also one big oversight--it doesn’t use Hall Effect joysticks. That means it can--and often does--succumb to joystick drift over time, which is less than ideal for a $75 gamepad. Thankfully, Hyperkin has just released a PS5 Hall Effect Joystick Replacement Kit, allowing you to replace both sticks for just $16. They’re proving to be wildly popular (Amazon is temporarily out of stock), but you can still place orders while waiting for inventory to replenish.

Might get one of those N64 sticks.
I want a kit for the edge where you just plug them in with zero effort. Until then, I'm using a Nacon something pro which is one of the few PS controller than has them.

Yeah, it was bloody expensive (got it on a sale but still..), but I'm a sucker for new controllers and you can't put a price on peace of mind. It also comes with 4 back buttons and it's actually pretty decent for both PS and PC with lots of stuff to customize in both hardware and software. You could probably do a lot worse.

Here is the thing though. My buddy was like no way I'm paying for a Dualsense Edge I'm gonna build one with Extreme Rate parts for cheaper. He bought a new Dualsense, one of the kits from Extreme rate (back paddles, grip, and trigger stops), and a set of grips for the sticks and proceeded to break something during the installation. That's not including easy to replace or hall effect sticks.

That all together was roughly $150 plus tax USD ($75 controller, $15 for grips, and $55-60 for the kit) only to break his controller and not have any sort of warranty even if he hadn't broke it. These Pro controllers are expensive but for me personally when it's not too awfully much more for a controller that will at least have a warranty and be better built most likely.

I wish my PS5 worked with my 8BitDo Ultimate and Ultimate 2 :messenger_crying:

It thinks the OG Ultimate is a Switch Pro controller and the Ultimate 2, it just tells me to fuck off.

But soldering them to the board is still a bitch. It‘s not like it‘s a plug and play replacement…

If you don't mind the price, the $250 version of the Hexgaming Phantom has hall effect sticks, and you can get it from Amazon.
