Just because Xbox is dead in the water but PS5 is still tracking flat vs PS4. They obviously aren't dead but seem to plateaued for now.
Well maybe it is just getting stretched out and becoming more PC like with a bunch of players on older hardware. If Fortnite and the like are still on PS4 when the PS6 launches will a decent number of people just stick with PS4? Could we get double cross gen?

Well, firstly, Ps2 was above DS even before Sony announced the final Ps2 numbers (154M Vs. +155M).
PS2 has the majority of its sales in an era where purchasing online was still a rather new thing. It's sales are far more impressive due to this. You pretty much had to go to the store to get one.
