With the memory shortage and Xbox's death I could easily see this gen lasting as long as ps3

2027 or even 2028 is possible + a gta 6 boost

Previously in another thread I thought 150 million lifetime. Now I think 160+ million with xbox series suicide meaning there's no pressure as such (PS2 generation would have gone on longer were it not for xbox 360 early launch after MS took the knife to og xbox).

PS5 just warming up.

I think 125-130 is reasonable, more than 130m. will not be, but happy to be proven wrong.

"weakest" as in "we get every game released on the market, including all IPs from Microsoft now, the only exception being Nintendo games"?

All i see now is PS5 with every game on their library that's nominated for GOT awards except for Nintendo games.

As of next year Sony will have COD, Battlefield, Halo...all games frokm every genre in there plus their exclusives, plus the biggest game release of the decade: GTAVI.

Plus all GaaS titles, live games, F2P games, etc.

I never said Nintendo is better. Microsoft is on a whole different level of worst.

Considering they want to launch a native handheld that runs PS5 games, PS5 will be on shelves for a lifetime.
Yeah, for us who have a PS5 and aren't interested in getting PS6, the handheld will likely be a godsend. They will probably be quite similar in power so devs can ride on the extremely big wave of the PS5, handheld and PS6 owners. Hopefully the PS6 isn't some kind of monstrosity to develop for which consumes all development time.
