Which one is it? I've been searching for a good one.Haha sweet! Sony's installation video is using the same exact heatsink I bought!!!
Sony's Drive
My Drive

Checkmate, she dropped one in a store while walking without skipping a beat.Top off? I took one with NO PANTS ON!
My guess is that the BETA didn't show major issues with it which is always a nice to hear.Surprised to see how damn fast they ended the SSD beta tests and made it public, good move.
I was a little concerned that Sony included hardware in the PS5 that they really couldn't confirm if it worked or not because the firmware wasn't ready at the time they shipped it. That always makes me a bit nervous, like what if they shipped 10 million units and then realized that the slot was a bad idea or didn't perform the same as the internal one?My guess is that the BETA didn't show major issues with it which is always a nice to hear.

Wait, hang on. Are you thinking that they didn't know whether the M.2 expansion would work or not until the last beta? That's seriously what you're thinking?I was a little concerned that Sony included hardware in the PS5 that they really couldn't confirm if it worked or not because the firmware wasn't ready at the time they shipped it. Fuckin' hell you're like that "give me rent" guy from Spider-Man 3.VRR?
Yeah, but this is highend and better than most soundbars up to 300 bucks. Got a Q90 mysealf and love it.Tested on Samsung Q80T, it does work. Though I prefer using my sound system for 3D audio.
I don't know how they would've tested it unless they had a form of this firmware way before launch and production. Instead they released a beta so that people could test the feature. That always makes me nervous. The slot should've worked from the beginning.I wonder if much has changed since the beta?

I think its because they weren’t really in a rush since there were so few drives on the market that met their specifications. Which is exactly what Cerny said would be the case back in March 2020.I was a little concerned that Sony included hardware in the PS5 that they really couldn't confirm if it worked or not because the firmware wasn't ready at the time they shipped it. So they must've tested it with their own drives and thus waited for the market to catch up a bit before unlocking the feature?I think its because they weren’t really in a rush since there were so few drives on the market that met their specifications. Sounds like virtual surround sound? Must be a bit more advanced since you have to use a microphone. I had virtual surround a few decades ago on a prologic receiver. No microphone then, didn’t sound good.No idea, it just does. It adds more depth to the audio. It spaces out the sounds in the game better. You can here that things are coming from a different angle better. Not sure how to explain it.
You realise that you won't be downloading any new hardware tomorrow and that the beta download was to test new software?I don't know how they would've tested it unless they had a form of this firmware way before launch and production. did that woman just do a sneaky poo?Checkmate, she dropped one in a store while walking without skipping a beat.

My guess is AVR support will be object based like Atmos w/LPCM as the underlying codec (as opposed to TrueHD) vs traditional 2-speaker 3D audio.Well they'll probably never figure out how to get the "3D Audio" out of an AVR, as that's pretty complex shit.
Adding an EQ to 3D Audio won't improve the hollowness you get out of it though.
Congrats to the sad gamers that don't have AVRs and don't get true surround sound, it seems like a small number, seeing as you already bought a $500+ gaming console. I'm sure some people will get the use of it.
It's nice that they're using a microphone to get the acoustics of the room, but I'm not sure how good the Dual Sense microphone is, most AVRs give you a special mic that is specially designed for the task.
Works great on my LG c1 don’t notice any of this flicker you’re talking about maybe you should buy a quality tv

You'll get your VRR when you fix this damn door!
Is the 3D audio also making a difference for soundbar owners? Or is this solely focused on TV speakers?
No mention of VRR or 1440p support, come on sony how hard is it for you to at least acknowledge it and say something like "hey you will indeed get that in a future update". Anyways that being said looking forward to this update!
1440p will never happen. Ever.Still waiting for an update to include 1440p
You can view a person's Vita and PS3 trophies, but if the person is online on them consoles they won't appear as online on the PS5Ummm... you can't see PS3/Vita trophies on PS5? Wtf? I don't have a PS5 hence I'm asking.
