PSP Related Automated Phone Call From GameStop

My wife answered the phone when they called and by the time I was able to grab it all I heard was that they expected 24 games around the time of launch. Anyone else get this call? Any idea what the rest of the message said?

I can only assume they called because I have a PSP on reserve at my local gamestop. I called them to ask what the call was about buy they had no idea and thought it was strange. Why would gamestop be calling the people that have preordered PSPs so early?

And btw... Could these automated phone calls be anymore annoying?

i JUST got that call too... my mom answered the phone... i caught the tail end too... i like how they actually said the phone number of the gamestop i reserved at...

Just got the same call.

It just let you know that Sony was releasing a Value Pack instead of the stand alone system. They also listed what comes in the value pack, and let know that you can trade in games towards the system.

Then the bit about the 24 games and to come preorder.

Nothing to exciting, but I imagine those working at GameStops right now are getting a bunch of phone calls.

I got it and heard the whole message. You really didn't miss anything...it just went over their usual "trade in 3 console games and get an extra 30% toward the purchase of your PSP" bullshit. Otherwise, it just talked about when it's going to be released and the MSRP.

Which is stupid cause it can go towards anything except cash, and it works on any 3 or more games.
I saw this in the email yesterday, they are so stupid to say 24 launch games *sigh*
