PSP screen cover?

I posted in the PSP launch thread. I saw two third party ones but they seemed like total ass. The one cover that Bic and Yodobashi carry for the DS is OK, but not great. The PSP covers I saw actually seem like they'd do more damange than good. I certainly hope a thick useable cover, without sticky adhesive is released soon for PSP.

Doesn't it have a special coating that apparently resists scratching? It's probably just PR, but apparently you'd "have to take a knife to it" to scratch it. They use it for blu-ray discs aswell, apparently, which is why they no longer come in those little cases.

I'm not going to take a knife to my PSP screen, but already the front of my PSP is dirty as hell and I've only played for about t totaly of 4 hours.. I just know once the PSP leaves my house and I start lugging it around on the train etc, the chances to apply a massive scratch are going to increase exponentially.

The UMD thing also sorta concerns me, since my method of transporting portable games it just to toss them into my jeans pocket and go...
:-(

Glossy surfaces are prone to showing smudges. Why not use a soft case, like the one that comes with the combo pack, or a belt case?

I wanted to get the regular pack, but ended up with the "Value Pack"...and realised that the soft pouch really does well for carrying it around. But the headphones....blegh

Can you elaborate on the headphones? One of my main motivations for the value pack was because I heard the headphones were of decent quality and were small. Thanks in advance.

I'm not an audiophile but just simply using any other headphone I have here definitely makes a whole lot of difference. Actually, you can plug your own headphone to the remote and then to the PSP, so the remote does come in handy ;-)

Ha ha ok I see, thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll just buy the equipment seperately and depend on my own headphones instead. Thanks for the realistic opinion, I figured someone calling them fantastic was a little too much. ;)
