PStwo (slim) online question

I got my Xbox 360 to connect to Xbox Live with the 56K + connection sharing trick. Can you do the same thing with the PStwo? I tried it once but it didn't work instantly. I wondered if it was worth the trouble.

I have no idea really. Setting up the PS2 online is just as easy as doing it on Xbox basically. I think it uses one or two ports for the microphone, might be a slight problem if your connection sharing program cant forward those ports solely to the PS2 and vice versa. But other than that I cant see why it shouldnt work like on the Xbox.

They removed the modem from the PS2 a few months ago. The latest revisions now have only an Ethernet jack.

Yeah, I ran the networking wizard and it found my Xbox 360. I have the ethernet cable going from the PStwo to the back on my computer.

Does this work the same way? How do you make it recognize another computer (the PStwo in this case)?

Stay off live and ps2 with 56k. We dont need your kind ruining our gaming experience.

Most of the PS2 games that support dial-up users are earlier games or games with a low number of simultaneous players (usually two to four). Also, many games that offer both broadband and dial-up access have some method of segregating players. For example, with Twisted Metal: Black Online, broadband users can get involved in games with up to eight players, but dial-up users can only play or host games with two players maximum.

I'm pretty sure the method he is using tricks the system into thinking he is using broadband.
