OMFG HOLY MOTHER OF MARY IN HEAVEN I CANT BELIEVE IT WTF WHERE ARE MY SEDATIVES AAAAHHH
I just watched last night's show where he interviewed them. Damn this guy's interviewing skills suck.

"Do you like Sushi?"

"Aren't you like...the Japanese Simon and Garfunkle"

WTF?? Someone get this idiot off the air please.

But they were a lot shyer than I thought. They're also a bit cuter when they're being put on the spot from an English interviewer as well. I'm just curious but why haven't they learned English yet? Haven't they lived in the U.S. for a few years now?

Blackace don't you know them personally or something?

Its awkward conducting an interview with 2 people and a translator. Besides, aside from that crappy cartoon how many people in the US know or care who Puffy & Ayumi are.

I'm still confused about this. Why exactly do they have a TV show?

Was it part of the deal for doing the Teen Titans theme song? I don't understand. They don't even do the voices on the show.

Why are those two even deemed important? They just seem like your generic JPOP female duo and they happen to have some stupid TV show. "Aren`t you two the Japanese Simon and Garfunkle?" Ha, at least he`s trying to add some kind of humor or entertainment value to them.

Hot.

With the tie picture, I'm thinking more like the Japanese TATU.

It was lame on the part of Jimmy Kimmel to ask something as stereotypical as "Do you like sushi?"

If they're music performers, are they any good? I do like that bubble gummy J-pop music.

Its like a mix between american and japanese bubble pop. Go look some up. You might like it. It sure aint no Mini Moni, and that can be a good thing depending on your taste.

As you can see they even went as far as covering a TATU song. And yes, they were as terrible as the original.

I considered flying out to see them this time around, since they're not doing a big tour like last time. I drove to DC from Columbus, and they were friggin great.

No, I have no idea why they have a US tv show, though their show in Japan was hysterical.

Jimmy Kimmel is an idiot but here he`s actually got some brilliant satire going. What do these two bring to the table in terms of meaningful or decent music? Nothing. What does that lame question that Kimmel asked them bring to the table in terms of an interesting interview? Nothing. A brilliant and witty savaging of their entire professional existance.

they have some east coast dates in august.

Puffy AmiYumi will be touring the U.S. East Coast in August 2005. Cities to be visited are Minneapolis, Chicago, St. Louis, Atlanta, Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Toronto (TBC)

Their cartoon is pretty horrible, but I guess it was a good idea because they're so marketable elsewhere (they had dolls and whatnot in China, iirc).

I like the music because it's catchy, and they can't really sing, so I don't feel like a total dope for singing along (they also sing slow enough that it's easy to catch the actually syllable sounds) :p

I turned them off after 20 seconds. Noisy garbage. Then again, I have a general disdain for J-Pop so my opinion isn't exactly neutral

You listen to them? Do you have a problem when britney spears or an american idol shows up on there? Do you believe they make "meaniningful music?" I don't see where you're gripe with them is coming from. Is it because they're Japanese?
