Pursuit Force could be seen as a blend of Burnout and GTA, but in terms of structuring of levels and the arcade nature of the title we have given a nod to games such as Chase HQ and R-Type. Obviously Chase HQ lends well to the cop theme but more importantly the chase and pursue aspect of the game. R-Type has heavily influenced the core wave structure of how our missions wor; in R-Type the player fights waves of enemies from left to right side scrolling, and we use a very similar method but obviously in 3D. We owe more to R-Type's boss design however, specifically the design of the boss' positions and cyclic attack patterns within their levels.
