I was looking into getting a generic xbox component cable off ebay, and was wondering if anyone knew if there was a significant quality drop-off from the monster cable(which retails for 60 bucks). I'm not using a fancy set, just a standard 24" Flat TV with component inputs.

go look for some $10 Component cables at Best Buy. We got them in a few weeks ago, and they work with both PS2/XBox.

Probably not Monster quality, but at $10, you can't lose...

edit: I know they are like in a whitish packing with hard-plastic wrapping. I believe they were MadCatz BTW, and probably you'll find them in a overstock/PS2/XBox section somewhere.

or, if you want them RIGHT NOW:

even at Best Buy, the official ones are $20 (not Monster though).

just buy a Gamer's Gift Card with $15 quantity on it (the piece of paper the card is pasted on comes with a "$5 OFF" coupon).

for your tv it won't matter, I got the monster ones online over a year ago for like $35 on sale just froogle serched it.
