Cowboy bebop is one of the best anime series out there IMO. I own the complete boxed set, the movie, and the soundtrack and have found them all to be well worth the money. The people who don't like this series are an enigma to me and I would be curious to know which anime they find better. I'm more of a mecha junkie myself, but bebop was one of those few that was definitely worth watching.

While I would recommend buying the series (Especially with the DeepDiscountDVD coupon available), why not just rent the first volume(s) from Netflix? That way you'll know for sure whether you like it or not.
