Ok, so which ones make that incredibly irritating high-pitched squeal and which ones don't? I really really hate that sound (and their cheap speakers), and one of my favorite things to do is to walk over to a TV that is on, push the power button and bask in the orgasmic silence.
I wish I could rid the world of every television that makes this sound, but I suppose I will have to settle for making sure one never enters my home. The only problem is that when you go to buy a TV, there are about 50 of them so you can't tell which ones do it and which ones don't.
So, do HDTV's do it? Projection, plasma, LCD, what? Do I have have to settle for a nicely sized computer monitor?
