Question about Power Adapters

Are power adapters interchangeable as long as they have the same exact power requirements?

Here is what my current power adapter features:

Input: 100-240v ~ 50/60Hz 0.8A
Output: 12V [DC symbol] 2A
[Positive Polarity symbol]

Can I simply/safely find another with the same specs and it'll "just work"?

I have a similar question

If the power adapter uses a USB (or mini USB) connection, can I assume this will safely charge any device it fits?

(I just got new wireless headphones (nuforce be sport3) and they didn't come with a charger, so I want to use the one from my old headphones).

I read the thread title as something else, and immediately when I entered the thread I forgot what it was I read. Left me confused and now I lost my flow.

And to the above, I believe so. I mix and match my power adapters with different devices.

Generally yes, but keep non-Samsung devices away from Samsung's "adaptive charging" USB chargers. I've heard of devices dying from those.

Samsung chargers don't work correctly because they use a custom spec. Qualcomm fast chargers don't have that issue.
