How do you pronounce the name "Bhupen?"

Is it just boo-pen?

I'm not Indian but I'll give it a shot. The first part sounds right (boo), but I wouldn't pronounce the last syllable 'pen', more 'pun'. Well, sorta inbetween...

Facinating . .. and . .. Namaste. I greet the light within you, even though I think most religion comes from a sort of Stockholms Syndrome thing starting at a young age. Sometimes the parents are such assholes that the kids break free of it, and this is good.

That is one case where worse is better. God, some of the things that happen with religion make me angry. I mean, really angry.

It depends on the region. It could either be boo-pen or b'uh-pen (with emphasis on the pen), both with a softened p.
