Quick question about my computer audio

I wake up this morning, and none of the audio on my computer works; it was fine last night, and I'm not sure what happened. Obviously, first I checked the volume control software to see if it was muted, then I checked the controls on the speaker, then checked that the audio wire was in the right plug; everything was as it should be, and I still don't know what the problem might be. Any suggestions?
