Actually there's a Ragnarok Online 2 in the works as well o-o. Could be like Lineage 2 tho and folks go back to RO1 afterwars. I'll def try it tho, but anyway, theres pics of a 3d modeled female novice running around somewhere... Hmm.

It's free to sign up and download. There's more english in this version than the korean beta, so it helps a little. I wasn't able to get to an area where there were other players, but apparently (if the fan screencaps are true), there should be a lot of people playing.

So, uh...is it actually possible to play this game already? I'm registered and try to start the game, but when it's looking for updates it says the page can't be found (404). As far as I can tell it's looking for updates at www.roseonline.com, an URL that's not even registered. Did I miss something? :/

Nope, still getting 404 error with the client

. It's already january 1st in Japan and Korea, but the beta is probably for europeans and americans and it's still more than an hour to go here (middle europe)

Got it working, but I was only able to log in once since the servers are almost always exceeded (whatever that means, it said server is "full" when I was able to log in)

Graphics are nothing special, but it runs nicely. Gameplay is simple. It feels just like Ragnarok and everything remind me of Ragnarok in full 3D.

I'd call this a "kiddie mmorpg"

Seems like you have to download a newer version of the game to make it connect and look for updates. I tried connecting today, but I still ran into the 404-issue.
So instead, I uninstalled the version downloaded before January 1 and downloaded the client again...and it looks like it managed to connect now.

That's what I did as well...managed to actually log into the game thrice (server limits exceeded) and got myself up to a level 11 soldier...thinking about quitting already...the translation SUCKS, the level grind is already starting to kick into Maple Story levels of un-fun bullshit and the interface is slightly confusing with no real documentation on how to do anything. I don't even know what 3 of the stats do because the NPCs explanations for them link to their explanations of different stats

should be noted that I actually like the style used...it's animated very well for the genre, and the bright and vivid color pallete is appreciated as well...I still (greatly?) prefer the look of WoW, however
