Razer Project AVA. Strangest AI product so far IMO.

Who wouldn't want a 5.5 inch Faze clan member on your desk reminding you about your dentist appointment? We are really getting into some weird territory now.

Here comes Skynet. And it'll be way easier than the movie.

"Ava what should I wear today?"

AVA: "Kill yourself"

And they'll do it too

Most of the shit Razer has shown last few years at CES never made it into production so take it with a grain of shit PR salt

Is it using holographic tech? Or just a screen? It's basically like Cortana.

I could see it being very successful to the point that Amazon rolls out their own variant.

Can you customize it to be any character like Eve from Stellar Blade?

The Grok AI Avatars were pretty popular and Amazon has a pretty robust voice activated AI with Alexa+.

This just seems like the next step.

Not something I would see myself using, but if it's a hologram in a container linked to AI, it's pretty cool tech.

This is using Grok.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this has such potential for nasty dirty abuse......onlyfans girls are gonna port themselves into that thing for the simps.

I want one, nay, I NEED one :P

I could swear this was on some episode from Black Mirror.

Has very hello fellow kids energy.

I think AI could easily make a more useful AI assistant than stuff like Alexa, but I'll only ever care when I can run entirely local models with this stuff. I don't mind giving personal info about day to day life to something that learns from it to better appeal to my needs...but only if I completely control it.

Anything that sends data back to the cloud for some corpo, so it gets sold or used for targeted ads is a dead-end for me.

The more I see of this thing the more it screams monthly sub. The good version of Grok that allows you to use their "companions" is like $40 a month or something. So if this is that same tech what will this cost when both Elon and Razer want a piece?

Remember the Zephyr everyone?! Had to look it up and saw razer ended up having to refund their customers since these were not certified.

What are the connectivity and system requirements?

Project AVA is designed specifically for Windows users and requires a direct connection to a Windows PC via a USB-C cable. This wired connection ensures the high-bandwidth data transfer required for "PC Vision Mode" to analyze screen content with minimal latency between the local hardware and the PC operating system.

I guess that leaves out Console and Linux users. Would Magnus be able to use it?

What's the price of this? Doesn't mention it anywhere on site.

How interesting that the A.I. persona is depicted as the opposite sex for both players in the ad, even involving a little flirting. At this point it is obvious that companies are literally pitching the A.I. as a companion for the user, not just a tool.

Whether this will make people deal with loneliness or increase the suicide rates remains to be seen. It all depends on how many human brains will be 'deceived' by the A.I. personality and treat it like an actual person, rather than an emotionless actor who is just playing a role. But there is always going to be that nagging voice in the back of their heads, telling them this is a fantasy, not reality. But we're also dealing with gamers, people who have mastered the art of escapism, so that may be an easier pill to swallow than it seems to be. (Edit: I am talking about the use of A.I. companion personas in general, not just this product)

We'll see.

I could swear this was on some episode from Black Mirror.
We're getting there ...

Excellent, a device with network access, which apparently has access to the folder structure of your PC and can see your screen + developed by Razer - what could go wrong. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
