RE4 PS2 already playable?

thats pretty much what i use it for. For catching up on news missed. But i take what I see there with a grain of salt now a days. Especially if it has rumor in its nature.

yep. I can confirm what dannie said. The BH4 demo at the AGS in Hong Kong was a GC version running at Capcom's booth. The PSP and GT4 were Sony's main things at the show. In comparison the Capcom booth was small and BH4 was only running on two TVs, it drew big crowds still and I saw quite a few preordering the US version (you can tell since they get the BioHazard umbrella). Here's a crap photo of that crap booth that doesn't really prove anything:

:lol

It would be funny if these limitations were a result of making the game more portable to the PS2 (that is, if Capcom has really been working on PS2 version for awhile now.)

funny...a few months ago I thought it was agreed upon that this game looked great :\

I still think it looks great. Watching the latest IGN videos confirms that. My opinion of course.

The only people this has changed for is people who want to (god knows why) make people buy one version of this game over another.

But for most of us: acknowledging the game doesn't run in anamorphic widescreen or at 60fps isn't to say the image the game puts out looks bad, or that the game itself is bad.

The game still looks fantastic. I'm sure the majority will agree.

I was being sarcastic, actually. I think the game is fantastic looking and that the little things people are complaining about are being overblown as usual.

Yeah, but I think Capcom should atleast give the GC sales a chance before announcing too many PS2 details, but no...:(

To be fair though, the GC base has been much more receptive to Capcom products than the PS2 base comparatively. Not to mention for every GC Capcom game made, there was already 6-8 on PS2. :/

Why do you guys even bother replying to it seriously?

Unstable framerate issues? Where did you hear that? The game isn't all that impressive looking, yet they needed to run it in letterbox mode AND 16-bit color just to achieve a good framerate? I really wish they would have gone for 24-bit color. That would have made a big difference...

The game isnt impressive looking?I would sure like to know which recent games are impressive looking then.........

Also, the way they portrayed the gloomy atmosphere in that Eastern European village is damn spot on (I used to visit some such villages a lot, and it's eerily reminiscent of the real thing on a bad weather day)

Trust me, the game takes place in Spain, not in a Eastern Europe country. There's a good amount of Spanish dialogue in the trailers, even a policeman with the official uniform of Spanish Police.

This doens't make sense, isnt' that show sponsed by Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong? Why in the Earth would Sony allow a GC game in Capcom booth?!

Lay off the magicbox hate. He does a good job gathering all that info from Japanese magazines and websites and translating the information. Take the place for what it is and not some beacon of gaming journalism. Its a game news fansite and a good one at that.

While MB might be fairly inaccurate fairly often, I have to say there doesn't seem to be much (if any) hardware slant on the site.
