Meh, I played stuff like that almost 10 years ago at Joypolis in Tokyo.
Except the car was on Hydrolics, and I was playing Sega Rally.
Kinda cool sitting in a real Supra playing that game.

Fuck yeah. I did that too. Best racing experience ever!! They even had a camera installed in the dashboard so you could watch your friends facial expressions while they were driving. My friend said, "you looked serious"...

Plus the Joypolis one had curved screens.
So you could see to your sides.

I did the joypolis with my missus in the passenger seat. You got blurred vision from the vibrations. Awesome experience.

I think it just projected on a screen some distance from you. I think the white sheet is cute but too close for comfortable focusing. You'd be better off having a curved screen separated from the car so you can also see your bonnet.
