I'm looking to beef up my (meager) collection a bit with the least amount of investment. I tend to buy some of my favourite movies at full price, but wait for the prices to drop on movies I either haven't seen before, or I'm not fanatical about.

Why not just hit your local video store? I picked up "pre-owned" (as in their old rentals) DVD's at BlockBuster of:

Saw
Troy
The Grudge
Passion of Christ
The Alamo
Sideways
Day After Tommorrow

and some others for $6.99 CAD each. And they arn't the crappy "Wal-Mart $6 bin" versions either, they are the 2 disc, widescreen collectors editions. New DVD's are overrated.
