Recommend me a style of suit to buy

I need a suit for when i interview in the upcoming months so I need to decide on a style and everything. Later on, if I'm working at one of the DC or Baltimore area firms I'm applying to I might need one for everyday work (even engineers in those places where suits since the clients are always in and out apparently), but right now I'm just looking for one that is suitable for interviewing and other miscellaneous use before I go out and buy enough to last me while I work full-time.

So what does everyone recommend? Yes, I'm gay, but I have no fashion sense about business attire, and I desperately don't want to end up looking like the stereotypical 50 year old NASA research engineer. Thanks.

If you live in the U.S., Joseph A. Banks (http://www.josephabanks.com) has very good suits with quality of Brooks Brothers but for much less money.

I don't recommend a double-breasted suit unless you're over the age of 40. You'll look like mafioso and come across as pretensious.

Stick with a two or three button jacket and with full pleated pants.

A good suit will run you around $300-$400 and move upwards from there.

Men's Warehouse typically has low end products.
