For the last two or so years I have been really out of touch with music. I mainly just listen to whatever is on the radio, but I've never really heard anything that I really like.

One album I absolutely love is Blow by Blow (Jeff Beck). Can anyone recommend me some tunes in with the same kind of sound? Or just anything that sounds good, I tend to like stuff more if it doesn't have any lyrics.

If you like Jeff Beck, you might like:

- The Yardbirds
- John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
- The Allman Brothers
- Cream

... and of course Clapton, who was a contributor/member of 3 of those groups.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I guess I'm kind of looking for more of the Jazz fusion sound from Blow by Blow...

Gwen Stefani's new stuff is pretty good as well

You may also like Angels and Airwaves; a bunch of my buddies just picked it up and tell me it's great.

Silverchair's Young Modern, album of the year 2007 so far.

It's a mix of grand orchestrated Beach Boys-esque pop songs, timeless soft rock and quirky alt rock.

:lol I HATE this album. I want the old Silverchair back... :(
