Last one was rough. Felt like they were adjusting to the new band lineup after Frusciante decided he was never going to play guitar again. Had a couple of great songs but definitely wasn't a great album.

Agreed. We all know Josh is no John but he seems to be fitting in better now. Should make for a better overall album.

Yea it actually sounds like something off One Hot Minute to me.

Sounds a lot more like their softer phase, like By the Way and Californication. Or maybe a mix of their funk and that softer phase. It alternates.

Those are my two favorite RHCP albums, and I disagree that this song sounds anything like those. I'm not digging this very much at all.

The cadence in some parts reminded me exactly of Around the World

I like all of the songs released thus far. This is definitely shaping up to be a more interesting sound than IWY.

As far as ranking the songs go:
