I really enjoyed the first season. It wasn't anything momentous or must-watch, but it was light and very digestible. The second season just came out today (11/11/16) and has gotten better reviews than the first season already. First episode is a different tone and I really enjoyed it. The first season didn't really get talked about much on here, but I hope more people might check it out if this season really is much better.

The AV Club: B+Aside from the sheer enjoyment that comes from watching the delightful and whip-smart comedy, there’s a case to be made for Red Oaks as the most significant nostalgia-infused TV series currently streaming.
Yahoo TV: 4/5It’s a sweet, well-made show. It may not dominate the conversation of the internet, but it’s certainly worth talking about.
Oaks remains assiduously small-scale, and that only works toward its charm. (Compared with ABC’s blasting ’80s sitcom The Goldbergs, Red Oaks is a masterpiece of low-key discretion.) The pacing is sometimes tediously slow, but for the most part, Oaks is cozily welcoming.
