According to VGC journalist Jordan Middler speaking on an episode of the Friends Per Second podcast. In the series' latest episode, Middler claimed that numerous projects in the Fallout series are in multiple stages of development.

While discussing the recent Microsofy lay-offs, which saw the cancellation of Everwild, Perfect Dark, and the next MMO from the studio behind Elder Scrolls Online, the journalist explained that Xbox is going hard on Fallout for the future.

"Fallout is the big one," Middler claimed.

"There are multiple Fallout projects in development, including, as far as I'm aware, that one that I'm sure you're all wanting. It's not far enough in along to say anything like 'you're going to be playing this game anytime soon'."

I was pretty jazzed about Oblivion Remastered, but then I played it and it just didn't do it for me because of the very outdated gameplay. I'm afraid Fallout 3 might feel the same. Not a Bethesda hater as I do love Skyrim, Fallout 4, and aspects of Starfield.

The Fallout 3 is basically confirmed cause it was part of the official Bethesda roadmap docs all the way back in 2022.

Now, the question is whether it's far along to come out along the show's second season.

Considering the decade old FO4 got a massive sales boost with the show, having a new release to go with it will be an incredibly lucrative business move.

If this is remade using engine from 4, I'm in.

Odds are this will be a UE5 based remake-remaster ala Oblivion.

If they are going to release Fallout 3 in a similar state like Oblivion remastered, they can stick it into their asses

Papi, fue un lanzamiento perfecto. Solo que lo pusiste en la plataforma equivocada.

Yeah fingers crossed it's full on remake with F4 engine or better yet latest.

Apart from the main story becoming trash tier towards the end and the insane amount of subway traversal I quite liked FO3. Had a lot of fun exploring the wasteland. Wouldn't mind revisiting the game with a new coat of paint.

Multiple Fallout titles?!

Hopefully that means Fallout New Vegas and especially Fallout 5 being worked on too. Fallout 5 will be the best game of all times and realities even above Elder Scrolls VI which would already be above GTA VI!

Fallout New Vegas would benefit the most from a remaster/remake allowing the Strip and Freeside to truly shine since lorewise it's suppose to be much more populated compared to the east coast.

Classic Xbox missing the boat move, franchise gets a huge boost in popularity due to a good show and they have no new game or remaster or release of any kind to capitalize on it. By the time they get something out, franchise hype will have cooled off immensely.

I'll need to see what fixes they come up with for this remaster.

I liked how they managed to improve Oblivion's leveling and stealth systems.

I played Fallout 3 not long ago and I couldn't think of any big standout issues aside from it's gunplay feeling a bit dated. Maybe they can improve the melee combat? 🤔

Fallout 3 already runs at 4k@60 on Xbox, but it's still ugly as hell and I couldn't even figure out what to do in the game
(for comparison I have completed Fallout 4 and all its DLC).
God knows, why people always praise F3!

How about the FIRST Fallout? Never played it, so might as well start with an up to date release than playing the old game

Was new vegas in the roadmap?

Hope it's true, Fallout 3 remaster i believe, Fallout 5 or a New Vegas remaster i'll need to see the proof and still could be years away.

No objection as long as it runs decent since Fallout 3 is quite rough around the edges to run nowadays at least on PC. I won't bite tho as I've played and replayed it to death.

If Todd wasn't such a little bitch, he would've given Fallout to inXile and Obsidian long ago. I don't want Bethesda to make a new Fallout. They've shown with Fallout 4 that they don't know what the fuck they are doing.

Remember when before we got annoyed that games would get a release date and we worried about delays? MS up the anti and we now worry about cancellations.
