A Reddit thread has shown two images claiming that World of Warcraft is coming to Xbox Game Pass. The first image, shown above, says that “Call of Duty, Diablo IV, World of Warcraft, and More” are in the service. The second image, below, shows PC and Console icons for the title. WoW has never had a release outside of the Battle.net launcher on PC.

Even if the GamePass part was legit, it doesn’t say anything about consoles.

I always wonder how they want to do that let alone the 25-30 keybinds on some speccs, but last time i raided in WoW was 2 years ago and my 12700k was struggling to keep up with 20 people spamming a million different numbers from 100's of abilities per second in mythic raiding.

I don't think it'll ever happen, the game would just be unplayable on console unless they changed the entire skill and ability system to be significantly slower and more controller friendly, which would just make the PC players riot.

They could do the classic trilogy, and that would be about it. Although, I'd imagine they would have to add add-ons in the client. For the modern game, they would have to redo the end game completely.

Id love to see people try to play this game with a controller. I have 500+ hours into classic wow mage with gamepad and it took several hundred of that just to feel comfortable using it especially with AoE attacks.

FF14 works great on controller with over 30 key binds for characters.

I was going to say I saw the same people say that and then played 14 for years and it was excellent.

The encounters aren’t hyper tuned in ways that would make even this “unplayable” lol

Fuck, official support for controller on WoW... I can get back to drugs happily if so, I tried playing it water more than a decade of not touching it having to click in order to move the camera felt really off to me

If WoW is still popular it would double their game pass subs but could hurt WoW, not engagement wise, just money-wise (unless they somehow forced people to pay an additional fee to get WoW with Game Pass).
