I don't normally watch FX, so I missed this series when it started. But I heard great things about it and picked up the first season on DVD today.

Definitely check it out. Great, great show about NY firefighters!

Dont normally watch FX? They have 3 of the best dramas on TV and the one based on the Iraq war should make it 4. If that Crash tv series pans out.. man, that's gonna be incredible. Not to mention they have a cool documentary program in 30 Days. I'd say FX has just about as good a ratio of original content to quality as any network on TV save HBO.

If you like Rescue Me, go buy the DVDs for The Job... Same producers, writers, and almost the same actors. It's a freaken hilarious show. Rescue Me is basically a firefighter version of The Job (Which is Cops). GREAT SHOW! GET IT! DVD set just got released. It was canceled after 2 seasons I think, but it was good...

You *need* to be watching The Shield if you like Rescue Me. Nip/Tuck is incredible too.. but obviously quite different than the other two.

I love rescue me the show has it all from gay midgets to kicking a priest's ass. FX has 2 of the finest dramas on TV in the shield and rescue me I hope they get the love from the voters and score a few emmys. July is going to be on stellar month with resuce me,30 days,battlestar,SG and SG:A.
