Researchers are toilet-training cows to reduce ammonia emissions caused by their waste

On a farm where cows freely relieve themselves as they graze, the accumulation and spread of waste often contaminates local soil and waterways. This can be controlled by confining the cows in barns, but in these close quarters their urine and feces combine to create ammonia, an indirect greenhouse gas. In an article published on September 13 in the journal Current Biology, researchers show that cows can be potty-trained, enabling waste to be collected and treated, thereby cleaning up the barn, reducing air pollution, and creating more open, animal-friendly farms.

"It's usually assumed that cattle are not capable of controlling defecation or urination," says co-author Jan Langbein, an animal psychologist at the Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN) in Germany, but he and his team questioned this thinking. "Cattle, like many other animals or farm animals are quite clever and they can learn a lot. Why shouldn't they be able to learn how to use a toilet?"

Yes ... let's change how animals shit instead of taking responsibility for ourselves.
YES!

A government sanctioned Poop ID for everyone! If you poop too many times per year, it will cost you extra poop money! Every toilet will be monitored by some strangers. The government will set up cameras in every household, free of charge!

You have to call up said stranger, monitor first, before you´re allowed to poop:

"Yeah, hey ... I'm gonna poop now! Please don't zoom! I'm not producing much CO2, methane ... i promise, been eating lots of lettuce!"

Just get rid of 50 % of all cows to fight it

So. A cow is resting on the ground chewing her cud. She decides to get up. What does she most likely do within thirty seconds? Take a shit.

Not going to say it's impossible. It's probably more plausible than training humans to pay for the extra cost of labour.

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
I think it’s you who missed the point then, my friend. Instead of wasting time and money on teaching a cow to shit, they could be investing that money on something worthwhile that will actually make a difference.
Reducing emissions isn't going to make a difference? What's your reasoning, do tell.

Most of the climate change problems could be just be solved by cutting the population. But most globalists and capitalists know that the economy is a Ponzi scheme based on population growths.
